By definition,

Permaculture is a design system for creating sustainable human environments.

The ecological and biological processes of the land, plants, animals, nutrient cycles, climatic factors and weather cycles are all examined and incorporated into a productive, functional Permaculture System. Elements in each system are viewed in relation to other elements and the outputs of one element become the input of another. Inhabitants’ needs are provided for though proven technologies for food, energy, shelter and infrastructure. Within permaculture systems work is minimized, “wastes” becomes resources, productivity and yields increase, and the environment is restored.

By the holistic approach of permaculture poverty is reduced. Healthy Food can be provided through Farming, the community comes together and every person included adds value to the system with their own skills. ABA Donation wants to under hold an organic shop to make sure that the high quality products are available for the whole community. Within the process of `value addition` cultivated plants can be made to organic powder, cremes and teas, which not only benefits a person´s health and skin.  Fair and good jobs are provided in the fields of farming, cooking and the production of cosmetic products.

Moreover ABA Donation will be a Community Learning Center for a weekly School club to meet up and to teach the knowledge of the holistic solution to our youngest. In addition to that workshops will be held that every person interested can come by and get insights of the permacultural approach. At one time of this year we would like to hold a permaculture conference to connect and exchange with other permaculture associations and teachers.

The Aba Don Community Center have 1xxx square meters which can be used as farming ground. There is already a high amount of Coconut palms which can used in different ways and offer the opportunity to create a wide variety of products like healthy coconut water, the coconut itself, coconut oil and a sustainable(?) usage of the shells to add nutrients to the soil, compost and even a ecological alternative use as coal or firewood substitute is possible.

At and around the center you can find many different healing plants like the Neem tree (Azadirachta indica), which has many traditional uses and can be used on the one hand as Malaria prophylaxe but also as hair, skin, dental and inner medicine and care product.

Beside the variety of healing plants which are already discovered there are still many so called weeds, which have also a medical purpose and value and are still waiting that their potential get discovered. This can take place by implementing a educational healing plants path  which is leading through the area and giving kids and adults of the community knowledge about which plants can be used for which purpose.

One important player(?) plant for the project is the Moringa tree which is also known as “tree of life” and which brings various benefits and possible usages with it. To use and process the different fruits, vegetables and products from the garden we will implement a outdoor kitchen
